The Thomas Hospital Foundation is grateful to the Baldwin County District Attorney's Office for its continued support of Thomas Hospital and Infirmary Health's Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner program.

Housed at the Malbis Freestanding Emergency Department, the SANE program reflects what's possible when healthcare, law enforcement, prosecutors and community partners work together with a shared purpose.

This support helps strengthen a specialized area of care for Baldwin County, ensuring the survivors are met with compassion, professionalism and coordination when it matters most.

Community investment touches every corner of healthcare. Some of that impact is highly visible. Some of it quietly strengthens the systems of care our community depends on. This gift is a meaningful example of both.

Celebrate Life is more than the name of an event.
It is a reflection of what we value most - the quality of life in our community, the health and well-being of our neighbors, and the life-giving impact Thomas Hospital brings to this region every day.

That is what made this year’s luncheon so meaningful. From the energy of the Marketplace to a full room and a thoughtful program featuring Dr. Bonnie Hodge and Mary Hollis Huddleston, the day was a beautiful reminder of what community support makes possible.

For years, the Grand Summer Ball has helped bring our community together in support of Thomas Hospital. In 2026, we’re taking that same spirit of generosity, celebration, and commitment to local healthcare into a new setting.

Introducing Street Soirée - a vibrant community celebration designed to honor the story of Thomas Hospital, recognize the caregivers and donors who help make exceptional care possible, and look ahead to the future of healthcare in Baldwin County.

This new event will bring together music, food, connection, and purpose in a fresh way - welcoming more of our community into the mission of supporting our community hospital.

Celebrate Life has officially sold out.

The response this year was immediate, and every luncheon table was committed early by supporters who continue to show up in meaningful ways for Thomas Hospital. That kind of engagement speaks volumes about this community and what this event represents.

Because space is limited at Apiary, we knew we needed to create another way to be part of the day.

Introducing the Celebrate Life Marketplace Experience, open from 12:30 to 3:00 PM.

Join us for an afternoon that includes:
• A meet and greet and book signing with Mary Huddleston, author of "Without a Hitch" and "Piece of Cake"
• A curated batch cocktail inspired by her signature hosting style
• A collection of local boutiques that reflect the charm and quality of our community
• Time to gather, connect, and enjoy the spirit of Celebrate Life

There’s a moment in care that stays with you.

For one family, that moment happened inside Colony Rehab, where nurses, therapists, and staff worked together to guide recovery forward step by step.

They wanted to say thank you in a way that reflected that experience.

Through the Foundation, their gift provided lunch for both day shift and night shift teams, recognizing the full group of caregivers behind recovery.

This is but one example of how philanthropy comes to life at Thomas Hospital. It is personal. It is local. And it grows out of real moments of care.

For those who have experienced something like this, there are meaningful ways to honor it in ways that support the people and programs that make it possible every day.

Because when gratitude turns into action, it does more than look back. It helps move care forward for the next patient, the next family, and the next story.

Today was a milestone day for Thomas Hospital and our pursuit of continually improving both the access and quality of healthcare available to our Eastern Shore and Baldwin County community. Our new patient tower celebrated its Topping Out with a beam signing ceremony. The final beam is placed in honor of Mr. Clarence Bishop and all that his legacy means to the history of Thomas Hospital. We are on-schedule for an Early Fall 2026 opening!
