Pack 47 showed up in force at Flying Creek Nature Preserve this past Saturday for Coastal Cleanup. We worked on the East undeveloped side and were able to clean up 33lb of bagged trash, and over 80lb of large debris and trash in total. Great job cub scouts!

We've got an awesome Lion (K5) group this year! First meeting they all got to learn about each other through Bobcat adventure. We used a ball of string and tossed the ball to each other while holding a piece back. They each said something fun they loved to do or their favorite thing they did this summer and passed the ball. We ended up with quite a fun string spiderweb!

We finished off the meeting with Build it up Knock it Down, where scouts used plastic cups to make a tower. They learned some teamwork, tried several types of designs, and had fun knocking them down at the end with tennis balls.

Thanks Brian Oberlies and Cubmaster Steve for leading this first meeting!

It's never too late to get in on the fun. Reach out if you're interested!

If you or someone you know is interesting in sponsoring a child to join scouting, we would love to partner with you. We think that scouting has the best program material to equip future leaders and make great citizens through the scout oath and law. Our desire is that no one should be turned away from scouting due to cost.

We are chartered under On the Trail foundation, a 501c3 nonprofit organization, and your contributions are tax deductible. Please reach out if you think you can help!

No, we are not in financial trouble as an organization. We just want to fund raise and partner within our own community to empower these kids to lean and grow in a great program. It takes funds to make a great program, and that's where we need your help!

Thank you.

Our AOL scouts cross over ceremony was last month, and we couldn't be prouder to see so many cross over and continue into scouts BSA, both into troop 47 and Troop 47G. What an amazing evening.

Did you know that the fairhope duck pond bridge was built by an eagle scout so that scouts had a place to "cross over"? How cool is that!!!
