Municipality Highlight: Magnolia Springs 🌳

Economic development is about creating opportunities for business growth while also increasing the quality of life for residents.

The Town of Magnolia Springs is doing both with several exciting projects taking shape, including a future Greer’s Market, a new Town Center, and efforts to restore the springs that inspired the town’s name.

The future Magnolia Springs Town Center will create a walkable destination for locally owned shops, restaurants, and community gathering spaces, adding new opportunities for residents, visitors, and small businesses alike.

We’re excited to see these community investments come to life and contribute to the continued growth of Magnolia Springs and Baldwin County.

🏆 Three IEDC awards. One of them recognizes more than 15 years of collaboration.

Baldwin Alliance’s Multi-Year Collaborative Economic Development Award honors the long-term partnerships and preparation that helped bring Novelis to Baldwin County, one of the largest economic development projects in Alabama history, as well as the company’s continued commitment to our community as they prepare to open Novelis Bay Minette in 2027.

Today, our Baldwin Alliance and Hatch Fairhope teams toured Green Health Laboratories and Oscity BioSciences in Foley! 🔬

Green Health opened in Baldwin County in 2025 with a state-of-the-art safety and quality testing lab that also manufactures compliance tests for the h**p industry. Oscity is a biopharmaceutical and health manufacturing company focused on cannabinoid-derived wellness products.

Both companies provide high-paying career opportunities in Baldwin County, reflecting the kind of growth behind our 10.8% job growth and 14.5% wage growth from 2022 to 2025.

It’s exciting to see that momentum up close, with companies bringing specialized science, manufacturing, and innovation to Baldwin County!

More jobs. Higher wages. Strong momentum. 📈

From 2022 to 2025, the Daphne-Fairhope-Foley metro added 8,480 jobs, an increase of 10.8%, while average wages grew 14.5% to approximately $50,200.

That was the fastest wage growth of any metro in Alabama, placing Baldwin County among the state’s strongest markets for both job and wage growth during the period.

For companies considering Baldwin County, the numbers reflect an economy that continues to expand, create opportunity, and build a stronger workforce.

RTF Project Services, LLC is bringing 140 jobs to Bay Minette!

The Alabama-based electrical services company is establishing its main operations in Baldwin County, representing a $2.2 million investment and bringing approximately 140 skilled jobs to the community.

Already operating in Bay Minette, RTF is expanding with a new facility on a 20-acre site at Bay Minette Industrial Park to support its growing operations. More construction details are expected later this year.

Yesterday, we celebrated a major investment in Baldwin County’s growing healthcare infrastructure with the opening of Infirmary Health’s new $40 million patient tower at Thomas Hospital in Fairhope.

The new facility adds 25 medical-surgical beds, a cardiac cath lab, a rooftop helipad, additional parking, and shelled space for future growth. It also supports 48 jobs within the new tower as Thomas Hospital continues to expand alongside the community it serves.

Since 2005, Infirmary Health has invested $307 million in the community and employs around 1,500 people in Baldwin County today, making it one of our largest employers.

As we highlight Infirmary Health and Thomas Hospital in our August Alliance feature, we are grateful for partners whose impact reaches well beyond healthcare. Through continued investment, job creation, and workforce partnerships, Infirmary Health is helping strengthen Baldwin County’s economy and care for residents.

This month, we're featuring Alliance member Gulf Corp and the role they are playing in supporting Baldwin County's continued business growth.

Gulf Corp recently reached a significant milestone at Gulf Alabama Industrial Center. Building 1 is now complete and leasing, bringing more than 300,000 square feet of Class A industrial space to Loxley's growing industrial and distribution corridor.

Located near Interstate 10 and less than 20 miles from the Port of Mobile, Gulf Alabama Industrial Center gives companies the space and logistics access they need to innovate, grow, and succeed.

This project reflects Gulf Corp's long-term vision to meet demand and create more jobs and opportunities in Baldwin County.
