Workforce development is strongest when education and industry work together. 🤝

As one of Baldwin Preparatory Academy's premier industry partners, Infirmary Health has been deeply involved in creating opportunities for students through classroom engagement, curriculum collaboration, internships, networking, and hands-on learning experiences.

This year, that partnership led to fifteen Baldwin Prep graduates being hired at Thomas Hospital.

Thank you to Infirmary Health for investing in students and strengthening our local healthcare workforce!

A big thank you to the Alabama Department of Commerce and the Economic Development Partnership of Alabama for recognizing the City of Foley's $3.3 million SEEDS grant yesterday alongside our local and regional partners.

This investment will help advance the development of a 121-acre industrial park in Foley. Strategic site development is one of the most impactful investments a community can make. Companies need sites available when they are ready to grow, and communities with those sites are best positioned to compete for new investment, quality jobs, and long-term economic growth.

Last week, Baldwin Preparatory Academy celebrated a huge milestone: graduating nearly 200 students 🎓

This matters because around 28% of Baldwin County students enter the workforce after high school. Baldwin Prep was created to help students be more prepared with real experience, training, certifications, and college credits in high-demand fields.

And it’s already making an impact. In Baldwin Prep’s first graduating class, 67% of students are entering the workforce now.

As part of our Alliance Feature series, we’re highlighting Baldwin EMC and their commitment to helping power Baldwin County’s next chapter of growth ✈️

Last week, the City of Gulf Shores was awarded $2.1 million through the Growing Alabama Tax Credit Program to support the development of the Gulf Shores Business & Aviation Park at Gulf Shores International Airport.

The funding partnership with Baldwin EMC will help prepare 10 acres at the airport for future industry recruitment, supporting new jobs, investment, and economic opportunity in Baldwin County.

This project reflects Baldwin EMC’s continued investment in site development and their long-term vision to grow a strong inventory of competitive industrial sites across Baldwin County.
