With America's Semiquincentennial fast approaching next month, Fairfield is filled with patriotic spirit much as it was 50 years ago for America's Bicentennial in 1976. One of the patriotic displays included in both the 1976 and 2026 celebrations has been the "painting of the town fire hydrants." Here are some of the photos of the beautiful hydrants from both celebrations. Make sure to check out the great artwork the next time you're in town.

A few scenes from last night's program featuring Joe Mieczkowski presenting, "An Evening with Senator Simon Cameron." Joe brought to life the influential Pennsylvanian who went on to national politics serving as Lincoln's first Secretary of War. A delightful portrayal of a very interesting historical figure.
