Camas Community Pantry 2026 Holiday Food and Fund Drive

The Camas Community Pantry is launching a food and fund-raising drive for the holiday season. The goal is to make sure everyone in Camas County has food for the holidays and to raise money to buy seasonal items than are often not included in the distributions that we receive.

We are excited to partner with Camas Creek Country Store for our food drive. Beginning October 19, you’ll find our display on the front table, along with bright green donation bags and a list of needed food items. You can purchase food for the pantry directly at the store, and at checkout the staff will keep your donation bag of food and deliver it to us.

We appreciate any and all donations, large and small. Everything helps.

Thank you to Camas Creek Country Store for having our display in their store and collaborating with us for this food drive.

Please DO NOT donate foods with:
Damaged food packaging such as severely dented cans, punctured and/or ripped packaging.
Expired Best By dates.
Refrigerated or frozen foods
Rotting or spoiled food.

Good morning Camas community!

A friendly reminder that Friday October 16th, 2026 @ 2:00pm - 4:00pm will be the distribution of food for Camas community pantry.
Also just a side note if you receive a bag for each child in your family (please be aware)that there is snack packs and granola bars that may obtain peanuts or nuts that is included in the kids bags for this months distribution.

Some folks may not have seen the information unless you have visited the Family Health Services Clinic, this service is being hosted by our local Clinic.

A big THANK YOU to Shoshone Project for their generous donation to Camas Community Pantry this August 2026!
This gift will go directly toward purchasing protein for our monthly prepackaged food boxes, helping us provide nourishing, well-rounded meals to families and individuals in our community who need it most.
Community partners like Shoshone Project make it possible for us to keep our shelves stocked and our neighbors fed. We are so grateful for your continued support!

Glanbia donation

We are excited to announce that in August, the Camas Community Pantry received a generous donation from Glanbia through their annual Charity Challenge.
This gift will go directly toward stocking our shelves and making sure our neighbors have access to nutritious food when they need it most. Thanks to Glanbia's employees and their commitment to giving back, we're able to continue serving our community with dignity and care.
Every can, every box, every meal we're able to provide starts with support like this. Thank you, Glanbia, for choosing to invest in our community and for standing with us in the fight against food insecurity.

Volunteers Needed - Help Us Trial a New Diabetic-Friendly Food Box!

We’re excited to share that we’re piloting a new diabetic-friendly food box and need your help to make it the best it can be!

We’re looking for 3-4 volunteers to trial this box Sept.- Dec. 2026. As a trial volunteer, you’ll receive the food box and be asked to share your honest feedback on:
Usability - How easy is it to prepare and use the items included?
Flavor - How do the products taste? Are they enjoyable and satisfying?
Interest in future offerings - Would you want to see this box (or similar ones) offered again? What would you change or add?

This is great opportunity to help shape a program that could benefit many others managing diabetic diets, while getting first access to a thoughtfully curated box of products.

What’s involved:
Receive your food box monthly
Try the included products over the course of the month
Complete a short feedback survey (or interview) at the end of the trial
