Gold Ridge Neighbors Adopt-A-Street Program

Gold Ridge Neighbors Adopt-A-Street Program Community Clean up team in the Gold Ridge subdivision of Fairfield CA backed by the City of Fairfield's Public Works Dept.

The Fairfield Adopt-a-Street program was started February 2018 as a way for citizens to have an impact on the beauty and cleanliness of our surrounding street and neighborhoods. More specifically, the Gold Ridge Neighbors Group was formed to directly target the streets leading into our neighborhood, Walters Road and Noonan Lane. The clean up starts at 9am with a short briefing to ensure everyone k

nows what is expected of them and a reminder of safety procedures. Additionally, those that have not attended a clean up event in the past will need to sign a Fairfield Release of Liability/Waiver. The work party will be limited to ONE hour. Safety vests, light rubber gloves, trash bags, and trash grabbers will be provided. Please wear long pants and sturdy shoes. All participants must be at least 13 years old, those under 18 will need to have a parent/guardian present.

Join Us for the First Gold Ridge Neighbors Adopt-a-Street Cleanup of 2025!

When: January 11th at 9:00 AM
Where: Walters & Huck Roads

It’s time to start the new year clean—literally! Come help your neighbors spruce up the streets for the first Adopt-a-Street cleanup of 2025. We’ll be tackling litter, chatting, and probably figuring out how we let things get this messy in the first place.

What We’ll Provide:
• Trash bags (not the embarrassing kind)
• Gloves (for your dignity)
• Trash pickers (not for picking your nose)
• Snacks (because you’ll deserve them)

Look for:
The ever-reliable white Toyota Tacoma. Park nearby and join us for a one-hour cleanup—get in, get out, and still have time for brunch.

Let’s make 2025 a cleaner, greener year together! Hope to see you there.

April Adopt-a-Streets

With longer and warmer days approaching, fields of bright green grasses swaying in the breeze, and wildflowers stretching towards the sun, wouldn’t it be nice to look out on all this wonder and see it without someone else’s trash cluttering up your tranquility?
Well, here’s your chance. The Gold Ridge Neighbors will be heading out from the corner of Walters and Huck roads at 9am this coming Saturday for our once monthly clean up of our adopted streets. We have all the supplies, we just need you to volunteer and put in one hour of work. Trust me, it goes by quick.
I hope to see you all there!

Come one, come all! This Sunday at 10am the Gold Ridge Neighbors will be holding our once-monthly Adopt-a-Street clean up. For this month we will be visiting the stretch of Peabody Rd between our neighborhood and the city limit towards Vacaville. This stretch of road does see a lot more traffic than our normal clean up areas so keeping clear of the roadway while remaining vigilant to the vehicles around are crucial to making this a safe event. I don’t want to make it sound so scary that our neighbors don’t attend, but it does require more vigilance.
As always, the clean up will be for only one hour. We’re delaying the start of this month’s event by one hour to give everyone a bit of time to get used to the springing forward of our clocks (you remembered that is this weekend, right?). Parking will be on the western shoulder of Peabody just on the northern boundary of the neighborhood. Just look for the white Toyota and park nearby.
I hope to see everyone there!
