It also promotes the role of insurers, which distribute their products through wholesalers, as well as the vendors which service wholesalers. Insurance wholesalers are state-licensed businesses, which are predominantly engaged in

insurance sales where there is another insurance agent-broker licensee between the wholesaler and the insurance applicant. The typical clients of wholesalers are retail insurance agents and brokers.
