What is the Arc of Jefferson & Nearby Counties
The Arc is a non-profit advocacy and service organization of people concerned about children and adults who are intellectually or otherwise developmentally disabled. Members include families, friends, community leaders, professionals and persons who are intellectually or otherwise developmentally disabled.
MISSION: The Arc is committed to securing for all people who are intellectually or otherwise developmentally disabled the opportunity to choose and realize their goals of where and how they learn, live, work and play.
The Arc is further committed to reducing or eliminating barriers for person with intellectual or developmental disabilities through education, research, advocacy and the support of families, friends and the community.
