On February 24, representatives from Soil and Water Conservation Districts across Illinois traveled to the State Capitol in Springfield to meet with lawmakers. The goal was to highlight the importance of Soil and Water Conservation efforts and discuss how legislators can continue supporting and strengthening our programs.
We were proud to be part of a strong showing—26 districts out of the 97 statewide were represented. These conversations help ensure that conservation remains a priority and that our districts have the resources needed to serve our communities.
