MIU Running Club

MIU Running Club The MIU Running Club is open to all levels of abilities from walkers to serious competitive runners.

The MIU Running club has around 3 events each semester and most races are 5Ks but there has also been 10Ks, 1/2 Marathons, 8Ks, and there was a first annual 15.9 Fairfield Loop Trail Run and Relay. This year, we have some people that are interested in sprints and track events as well, so we may look into that.

Running club will participate in the Kalona 5k run on 6/19.

3 running club events in August: 8/7 Winfield Iowa 5k at 8:30 am, sweet corn festival 5k, 10k in West Point Iowa on 8/14 at 8 am, Old settler's 2.2 mile run and 1/2 mile run for children- 2.2 mile at 8 am children's 1/2 mile at 7:30 in Salem Iowa on 8/28

running club has not done a racer since the 10/11 at Lacey Keosauqua park. upcoming runs 5/8 donut dash put on by the Mount Pleasant rec center . and the Kalona 5k on 6/19

MUM running club will have an informational table for club day in Argiro on Wednesday 9/21. we also will have 9 MUM students and myself running int he Washington Iowa hospice 5k on 9/21.

6 MUM running club members have signed up for the Washington Iowa hospice 5k on 9/21. forms will be sent in on Tuesday. People may still signup after 9/3 but will pay an
extra $5 entry fee.

MUM running club will be participating in the Skunk river stampede 5k on Saturday 8/24. we will have a sign up table in Argiro during lunch on Tuesday and Wednesday 8/13th and 14th. cost is $20. MUM students pay $7 - student government $13.

MUM running club used to be open for anyone to post things. somehow it has gotten closed so only I can. If anyone knows how to open it to anyone let me know. my computer skills are minimal.
