Fairfield Iowa Kiwanis

💙 Kiwanis is building tomorrow’s leaders today! 💙

Did you know Kiwanis supports young people through programs like Builders Club and Key Club?

🌟 Builders Club gives middle school students the opportunity to discover the power of service, teamwork, leadership, and making a difference in their school and community.

🌟 Key Club empowers high school students to become leaders through service. Members volunteer, serve their communities, build lifelong friendships, and develop valuable leadership skills along the way.

These students aren’t just learning about leadership—they’re putting it into action! 🙌

Kiwanis is proud to partner with and encourage the next generation of volunteers, leaders, and community changemakers. When we invest in our kids, we invest in the future of our community. 💙

🥰 Builders Club. Key Club. Kiwanis. One community, making a difference together.

We are so proud of our Builders Club and Key Club members who worked diligently serving pancakes and cleaning tables at Kids Day on Saturday! 🥞 💚 🧡 It was such a fun, family-centered event and a wonderful opportunity for our students to serve others, work together, and give back to our community. We love seeing our young people step up and make a difference!

I've only worked the Kids Day parade for about 15 of my 20 years in Fairfield Kiwanis, but I thought it was up there with the best. The float winners were unanimously chosen as 1. Girl Scouts, 2. Traffix, 3. Jefferson County Health Center, 4. Friends Church.

The horses. Watch the videos from last year and probably this year and hear the crowd say oh...wow. Many thanks to the Mexican rodeo folks.

The huge number of people downtown, the activities and happy kids on the square, the number of pancakes served, the supportive comments, the rain holding off....all point to this year being a good Kiwanis Kids Day in my book.

Since our numbers are low, we are grateful for the involvement of other Fairfield service groups: Rotary and Lions Clubs. We are all looking for new members, so watch for opportunities to join one of us!

Fairfield can be known for a lot of things but the Kiwanians who thought up our Kids Day 60 years ago gave us something really special and wholesome.

On the way home from putting the big tent away I stopped at a lemonade stand and a little guy recognized me as one of the Kiwanis people who just put on Kids Day. He ran over to hug me.

Yep. Good stuff.

John Reeves, outgoing Fairfield Kiwanis president.

Our Builders Club met yesterday morning to prep for a busy week! Members spent some time getting ready to volunteer at Kids Day this Saturday AND kick off their latest fundraiser: sucker sales. All proceeds directly support our Builders Club community service projects. Want to buy suckers and support the cause? Reach out to middle school faculty sponsor Mr. Parker or Builders Club Kiwanis Liaison Rachel Brown to place an order!

Big things are happening for our service leadership clubs, and we are looking sharp while doing them! 👕💚

First, we want to give a huge shoutout to Top Dog in Fairfield for sponsoring and making the awesome green shirts for our middle school Builders Club students. The students are ready to serve in the pancake tent this Saturday!

We are also thrilled to celebrate a major milestone: it has been one full year since our Key Club was officially chartered at the high school! 🧡 As the club continues to gain incredible traction, we are proud to debut our brand-new Key Club shirts THIS Saturday at Kids Day. This wouldn't be possible without the immense generosity of our community. We want to extend our deepest gratitude to our wonderful sponsors who stepped up to make these shirts happen:

✨ Universal Therapy
✨ Behner Funeral Home
✨ Fairfield Kiwanis Club

Thank you for investing in our youth and supporting our mission to serve Fairfield. When you see our members out volunteering in their new gear, be sure to give them a wave!

🌟 What does Kiwanis do?

Kiwanis is all about serving our community and helping children. 💙

Through volunteer projects, fundraising, scholarships, community partnerships, and hands-on service, Kiwanis members work together to make a positive difference—especially in the lives of children and families.

From supporting local schools and youth programs to helping with community events and lending a hand when help is needed, Kiwanis is people coming together to make our community stronger.

You don’t have to be a superhero to make a difference. Sometimes it starts with simply showing up, lending a hand, and caring about the people around you. ❤️

That’s Kiwanis: serving, connecting, and making a difference—one project at a time.

💙 Join us. Serve with us. Make a difference with us!
