Fighting Children's Cancer Foundation

Fighting Children's Cancer Foundation The Fighting Children's Cancer Foundation (FCCF) provides needs-based financial assistance to families struggling with pediatric cancer. www.fccf.info

The Fighting Children’s Cancer Foundation believes that the support we provide goes hand in hand with finding a cure for childhood cancer. We believe no child should miss a treatment due to the high cost of transportation. We believe that no parent should worry about how they will maintain their monthly living expenses due to lost wages, while caring for their ill child. We believe that a lack of

funds should not deter a family from continuing to celebrate the joyous occasions in life. We believe that the quality of each day of a child’s life should be the best we can help it to be.

And here is the story of another family you recently helped:

"This young lady is a 4 year old girl who lives with her mother and older brother. In May 2024 she was diagnosed with Pre B Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. It's expected that her treatment will last for 2.5 years. With her treatment needs, her mother has been unable to work. At the same time they have faced increased expenses, particularly with transportation to/from treatment. The family requested, and received, assistance for their monthly rental payment, relieving some of their stress and enabling them to focus on the health and well being of their daughter."

Every week FCCF is helping families who have children fighting pediatric cancer. Recently, through your generosity, we were able to assist this family:

"V is a 19 month old girl who lives with her parents and older sister. In September she was diagnosed with B Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. It is expected that her treatment will last for 2 years. She is currently in patient. Her mom had to stop working in order to be with her around the clock even while she's in hospital due to her young age and health issues. Dad continues to work as best he can. The family requested, and received, assistance from FCCF for their June rental payment, enabling them to stay in their home during this difficult time."

A family recently wrote:

Dear Friends and Kind Supporters,

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you.

When our daughter was diagnosed with Leukemia, our world changed in an instant. The days since have been filled with hospital visits, treatments, uncertainty, and moments that no parent ever imagines facing. In the middle of all of this, your generosity, prayers and support have been a light during some very dark days.

Your donation is more than just financial help- it is hope. It helps ease the burden. Because of you, we are able to focus our energy on what matters most: being by our daughter's side as she fights with incredible strength and bravery.

We are continually amazed by the kindness of people around us. Your support reminds us that our daughter does not fight alone.

Thank you for supporting our family, and for being part of our daughter's fight!

Recognizing that cancer affects the whole family, the Fighting Children's Cancer Foundation partners with Hackensack Meridian Children's Health/Tackle Kids Cancer to support their Sibling Support Program. This program falls within the Child Life Department at Joseph M. Sanzari Children’s Hospital, Hackensack.

While the battle is most difficult for the child with cancer and their parents, this can also be a scary and isolating time for other children in the family.

Siblings struggle with missing their brother or sister, with getting less attention, the loss of a routine, or seeing their sibling sick and in pain. This program helps children process their feelings, find structure, work on anger, learn to cope and to feel empowered. This is an incredibly impactful program, made possible through your ongoing generosity and support of our Foundation.

We are grateful for this partnership and grateful for your goodness and generosity which makes it happen.
