"My husband is not just the best human being, the love of my life, my best friend, but also the most thoughtful caregiver ever.
Everyone talks about the patients, but no one talks about caregivers.
Joe takes care of me 24/7, takes me to all the appointments, cooks for me, does the groceries, the laundry, cleans the house, handles the bills, all the insurance stuff and he works, goes to the gym, takes care of his wellbeing and gave up everything he loves, needs. Not to mention how worried and stressed he is, saw me my worst; passing out, losing tons of weight, sleeping all day, puking, crying, worrying. He is exhausted and still tries to do his best to be able to support me the most.
He is a superhero. He is my superhero.
Shoutout to every caregivers out there, because your role is bigger than anyone else’s.
Also, thanks for Joe’s parents for sharing their time between Denver and Durango, and for his whole family willing to move and give up their life for me. And thanks to my family, who patiently waits until it is not risky to visit me and always be positive and make me eased.
I am so lucky." - Anna
