It is going to be a beautiful day for live music, the Iowa State Bank Running of the Wieners, food, art, and fun in Central Park tonight! Also,don’t forget if you haven’t gotten your ticket for Main Street Fairfield’s Upstairs Downtown event, you can still purchase them at the event!

Come out and enjoy Oktoberfest, October 2nd , from 6pm to 10pm in Central Park! Fairfield First Fridays has planned a great Oktoberfest event! This is the 21st year of Oktoberfest.
The activities for the evening include live music by The River Dogs and Blue Stu. We will also have the annual Running of Wieners, lawn games, carriage rides, and a few fun activities for the kids. There will be food vendors, artists, crafters, and more set up in Central Park. Main Street Fairfield will be hosting an Upstairs Downtown Event, you can purchase tickets in advance or purchase them the night of the event.
Registration for the Running of the Wieners is 6:00pm and the races start at 6:30pm. Winners announced following.

Cindy's Art Supply Store and Gallery -53 W. Broadway Ave. open from 1 - 5, and again from 6:30 - 9:00 p.m. Many of the artists in the Square One Arts collective have changed out their art, so there's lots of new pieces to view Always a great place to stop in, grab your supplies and see all of the new pieces!
Fairfield Art Association (Inside the Civic Center)- The Fairfield Art Association announces a new exhibit "The Earth Speaks" by Iowa City. artist Monica Basile in the Main Gallery at the FA&CC on Friday October 2. A reception will be held for the artist from 6-8:30 PM, with a special presentation at 7:00 by Basile giving brief Orical Card Readings to bring her artwork to life.
The ink engravings on clayboard in this collection were created as part of a year-long meditation on the artist's spiritual connections with nature, which culminated in a deck of oracle cards called The Earth Speaks. Each illustration represents a natural phenomenon or seasonal milestone, and serves as an invitation to reflect on the medicinal messages of these moments, so that we may approach our lived experiences with greater understanding, compassion, and reverence.
