The FASO Private Screening of Forgotten Island at the Kenwood Theatre was more than a movie night... it was a celebration of Filipino culture, friendship, community, and connection!
From the moment guests arrived, the theater was buzzing with excitement! 💛
✨ Friendship Bracelet Making Station�📸 Polaroid Photo Station with personalized photo decorating�🎤 Pinoy Karaoke (because let's be honest... a Filipino gathering isn't complete without it!)�🏪 Leslie's Sari-Sari Store... the undeniable crowd favorite! Filled with nostalgic treats and tindahan treasures that transported everyone back home and brought smiles to every generation.
The best part? Everything was COMPLIMENTARY for our pre-registered guests, including the movie and all activities. Instead of admission fees, we simply encouraged attendees to support FASO through membership sign-ups, membership renewals, and voluntary love offerings.
And WOW... our community showed up in the most beautiful way.
We saw old friends reconnect, new friendships form, families gather, volunteers step up, members renew, and new members join our growing FASO family. The energy in the room was electric, and the sense of community was undeniable.

To everyone who donated supplies, resources, snacks, decorations, prizes, and support... thank you.
To those who renewed their memberships, became new members, or contributed through generous love offerings... thank you.
To everyone who attended, sang karaoke, made bracelets, posed for Polaroids, visited the sari-sari store, watched the film, laughed, connected, and celebrated with us... thank you for believing in the power of community.
Events like this don't happen because of one person or one organization. They happen because an entire community comes together with a shared purpose: to celebrate our culture, preserve our heritage, and strengthen the bonds that connect us.
Last Saturday reminded us that the Filipino spirit is alive and thriving.
Maraming salamat for making this event a huge success. This was not just a movie screening... it was a memory-making, culture-celebrating, community-building experience.
