Everly Memory Monday

I asked AI to show me what my grief might look like if it were hanging in a museum. It created this from the years of journaling I’ve done about EV.

A massive canvas. Dark layers. Scratches and fingerprints everywhere. A tear through the middle where something used to be whole.

Small flecks of color too. The parts of EV that still glow through everything.

And in the corner, a figure still standing. Exhausted. Covered in paint. Still holding the brush.

Because loving EV didn’t stop. So the painting never really ends.

This one isn’t really for anyone else.
Just something I want to remember.

Three years ago last week, we received Everly’s diagnosis and our world tipped overnight.

We had no way of knowing that seven months later she would be gone.

This week, I was able to feed my soul a little by delivering Essentially Everly totes to a new hospital in Santa Clara.

It’s what I have to do now for her and for the other kids.

Everly’s vibe lives on in every Bright Moment we pass forward. 💛

✨ Happy New Year ✨

Goodbye 2025. Hello 2026.

This past year, we delivered 99 totes to children fighting cancer.

Each one inspired by EV and filled with the things that brought her comfort, creativity, and joy. Hearing how those totes sparked smiles is our WHY.

We’re deeply grateful for every person who supported this mission and helped carry EV’s light forward.

As we step into 2026, we do so with EV’s vibe—hopeful, brave, and full of sparkle.

We can’t wait to see what’s next. 💛✨

Trying to get into the Christmas spirit…

The gala was so special. Yet it took more out of me than I expected. 
Lately it’s been a lot of doing the have-to’s with no energy left for the want-to’s — just the next right thing, one step at a time.

But a couple weeks ago we delivered 12 totes to three hospitals. No photos — just showing up, checking in, hearing the stories, and doing what we can.

And I found out the Child Life Specialist from our first hospital is moving — the one who knew Everly, who met us in those impossible moments, who understands why these totes matter.
 It’s not a loss, but it leaves a mark.

Even with all of that, I still love curating these totes.
 It’s the part that always feels right.
