New Member Spotlight!
MANDY CHAVERS
We are honored to shine the spotlight on Mandy whose love for the Fairfield History Club began with someone very special—her Aunt Thressa, a longtime member whose dedication inspired Mandy to follow in her footsteps.
Mandy first learned about FHC while attending high school and has always recognized the club as an important part of Fairfield and Freestone County. She cherishes the friendships and fellowship she has found among so many remarkable women who share a love for their community and its history.
One of her favorite experiences has been participating in the Freestone County Fair & Rodeo Parade, proudly representing a club that has been a staple of our community for 100 years!
Mandy serves as the Freestone County Treasurer, giving her the opportunity to serve the community where she grew up. When she isn’t working, she enjoys adventures with her faithful sidekick, her dog Fallon—and occasionally a trip to Houston to visit friends!
What does Mandy look forward to most? Simply being part of history. She believes history isn’t just something we preserve—it is something we create every day through our traditions, friendships, and service to others.
Her message to anyone considering joining is simple: if you love your community, appreciate its heritage, and want to be part of something meaningful, there is a place for you in the Fairfield History Club!
After all, we have the privilege of carrying history forward—and what better way to do that than with Friendship & Heritage with a Little Bit of Southern Charm!
