The Fairfield PAL program offers Fairfield, Suisun, and Travis teens a place to grow, learn, and build the skills they need today and in the future. The PAL Center offers teens a safe environment, supports working families and helps students achieve by giving them opportunities right now. The Fairfield PAL Program is open to Fairfield, Suisun, and Travis students ages 13-18 who are enrolled in school. Memberships are FREE and can be purchased at the Fairfield Community Center (1000 Webster Street) Mon-Thursday between 11:30-5:30pm. A current student ID is required to register. Sometimes it just takes one person explaining it a different way for the lightbulb to go on.💡

Fairfield PAL is looking for volunteers to help teens with after-school tutoring and our new Trades Math program—where students will see how math connects to real jobs like construction, utilities, engineering, automotive work and other skilled trades.

We’re especially looking for:
📚 Adults comfortable helping with middle or high school homework
🔧 Tradespeople and working professionals who can show how they use math on the job
➗ Anyone who enjoys helping a young person work through a problem and get to that “Ohhh…now I get it” moment

You don’t need to be a classroom teacher. Patience, encouragement and a willingness to share what you know can make a big difference.
Because PAL is a youth-serving organization, regular volunteers are required to complete applicable California AB 506 screening and training requirements. PAL covers all associated costs.

Fairfield PAL Teen Center is looking for Recreation Specialists to lead sports, games, art and activities after school.

💵 $17.40/hour
🕒 Monday–Thursday | shifts between 3–9 PM
📅 Up to 20 hours/week
⏰ Apply by August 30

If you’re comfortable talking with teens, willing to jump into the activity and want a part-time job where the shift actually moves, we want to hear from you.
