The Fairfield PAL program offers Fairfield, Suisun, and Travis teens a place to grow, learn, and build the skills they need today and in the future. The PAL Center offers teens a safe environment, supports working families and helps students achieve by giving them opportunities right now. The Fairfield PAL Program is open to Fairfield, Suisun, and Travis students ages 13-18 who are enrolled in school. Memberships are FREE and can be purchased at the Fairfield Community Center (1000 Webster Street) Mon-Thursday between 11:30-5:30pm. A current student ID is required to register. Today’s Tech Exchange Digital Literacy crew is officially logged in. 💻

Some of our members spent the morning learning how to use their laptops, search smarter, spot sketchy online stuff, and build skills they can actually use for school, work, and life.

Two hours this summer could give you a certificate that lasts two years.

Kitchen Cred gives Fairfield PAL members the chance to complete free food handler safety training and take the certification test right here at PAL.

It takes about 2 hours, the certificate is valid for 2 years, and it can help with jobs, volunteer opportunities, events, and building your résumé.

Members must complete the training and pass the test to earn certification. One retest is allowed if needed.

Space is limited.

PAL Career Café was serving up real estate wisdom today. 🏡

Giselle sat down with Jennifer Rice from City of Fairfield, CA - Government to talk about what it really looks like to build a career in real estate — not just what you see on tv, but the practical first steps too.

Her biggest takeaway?

“You don’t have to start big… you can start as a leasing agent, gain experience, improve your abilities, and be ahead of the game.”

That’s exactly what Career Café is about: giving PAL members a chance to sit across from someone in a field they’re curious about and ask real questions, hear real stories, and see a real path forward.
