Grace House Ministries provides loving, Christian care to 40 Alabama girls in foster care on our residential campus in Fairfield, AL. All of the girls who call Grace House home have been removed from the custody of their families due to physical/sexual abuse, abandonment/incarceration of a parent, and/or neglect. 40 girls rely on Grace House to meet their basic needs like food, clothing, shelter,

and education every day, just like other children rely on their biological families. Since our founding in 1992 by Mama Lois Coleman, Grace House's campus has grown to include 8 properties which provide a safe refuge for 40 girls ages 6-19.5 years old. Our residential campus includes 3 group homes, 2 Transitional Living Program homes, a Campus School, a Community Garden, and the future home of the Lois G. Grace House extends services to an additional 10 girls – former residents who are enrolled in college and/or working – through age 21. As the only program in the Birmingham area dedicated exclusively to providing services to Alabama girls in foster care, Grace House is meeting a critical need. A refuge like Grace House is needed because the girls we serve are our future community members, leaders, mothers, and workforce. Grace House works every day to equip and empower girls with the educational, emotional, and spiritual tools they need to break generational cycles and create transformational changes in their own lives, families, and communities.

Our girls had the sweetest afternoon at at !

Jenna and Vickie welcomed us with such kindness as the girls got their hands dirty creating beautiful pottery, toured the studio and, of course, loved meeting Petry, the bearded dragon!🐲

Prodigal Pottery is so much more than beautiful pottery. Their ministry creates meaningful opportunities for women who have experienced difficult circumstances, using art and employment to help women build brighter futures.

Something new is coming to Grace House! Our Junior Board is bringing the first-ever Grace House Pickleball Classic to the courts this fall.

🩷 EVERY girl deserves an EDUCATION built around her. 🩷

When Forest came to Grace House, one high school credit stood between her and graduation. With individualized support, she earned the credit and raised her ACT score. Today, she is thriving at Auburn University.

There is something special about watching our girls serve others. 🩷

This year's 🎒Back-to-School Bash🎒 was a success as Grace House residents, Junior Board members and community partners welcomed families for an afternoon of fun and encouragement.

Together, we distributed 100 backpacks filled with school supplies and shared a meal with our neighbors.
