Friends, we had the privilege of meeting Madison and her family just a couple of weeks ago, and our hearts are heavy for them today. What began with hope has taken an unexpected turn.
Madison, who will turn 3 soon, is dealing with a rare neuromuscular disorder that causes her to become unresponsive - so often and so dangerously, that she recently had a tracheostomy placed and needs a ventilator to survive.
After experiencing issues with the trach, Madison underwent a repair surgery last week. Heartbreakingly; the new tracheostomy site has failed. She will return to surgery tomorrow to have the site closed and a breathing tube placed, and will remain in a medically induced paralysis while she heals. Unfortunately, Madison is known to be a slow healer so this process may take several weeks. After she has healed, her medical team will try again to place a trach tube. The entire process could take three months or more.
Mom is by Madison’s side, while Dad is three hours away at home caring for their other children. This is not how it was supposed to go, and the road ahead will be long and exhausting. The financial strain from extended medical care and time away from home will be significant. The family needs prayers, encouragement, and support as they walk through the difficult weeks ahead.

Along with additional children that we are supporting through your donations, Wyatt is one of two children home on hospice care during this Christmas season. Wyatt received a heart transplant when he was 3 and a half. Wyatt, now 6, is in kidney failure, and he is not a candidate for transplant. His family has made the difficult "quality of life" decision to bring him home.
every donation we receive goes directly to families like Wyatt's, to help make these difficult times more bearable. We make sure families have things like a warm house and food on the table. We try to help families worry less about their expenses so they can focus on what's most important, their child.
The more we have, the more we can give. We are in the middle of our Annual Fundraising Campaign, which is our largest fundraising campaign of the year. We prayerfully ask you to consider a donation to support families who are taking care of their critically ill child this Christmas.

We are so saddened to learn of Aiden's passing💔 Thank you all for supporting his dream wish to attend a Milwaukee Bucks game in 2023. These little gestures leave priceless memories for loved ones. Our prayers are with all who know Aiden and were blessed to witness his courage.

In honor of Aiden, taken too soon by childhood cancer.

"Aiden’s story is one of courage, community, and love...."

Aiden passed away at the age of 19, after battling synovial sarcoma for 6 years.

Aiden took whatever life threw at him, and endured any treatment necessary if it meant defeating his cancer. He went through years of chemotherapy, radiation, clinical trials, numerous surgeries, traveling to different states to seek treatment... anything for a cure.

We first met Aiden in 2019, shortly after his initial cancer diagnosis at age 13. After being NED (no evidence of disease) for several years, Aiden's cancer returned in 2023 with a vengeance, spreading in soft tissue throughout his entire body.

Basketball was Aiden's saving grace. Whenever he wasn't in treatment, you could find Aiden out on the court with his friends.

We'll always remember Aiden- his fierce loyalty to his family and friends, his ever-positive outlook on life, and his vibrant love of the game.

"Aiden Thompson, 19, of Front Royal, Virginia passed away on September 11, 2025 at University of Virginia Medical Center.

"Aiden, a radiant soul who faced cancer with extraordinary courage, touched the lives of everyone around him with his unwavering spirit, love for basketball, and dream of graduating high school with his friends — a dream he achieved in a special ceremony at Warren County High School in March 2024. His resilience inspired us all, and though he is no longer with us, his legacy of hope, determination, and love endures.

"Aiden’s story is one of courage, community, and love. He dreamed of playing basketball with his friends... and he achieved so much despite the odds."
