I VOTED FOR CONGO!

In a room full of Congolese, I watched the US presidential election on TV. As the electoral votes increased for one candidate or the other, we yelled projections of what the future of Congo will look like in the next four years. We, Congolese, abroad or at home, have our country in our heart; we live and breathe each moment for its betterment.

I am almost there!!!

Thank you everyone from the bottom of my heart for all your generous gifts and warm wishes. Your support and amazing encouragement have energized me through this whirlwind of fundraising. You have supported me even in the most pressing deadlines. I am excited to report that I got my airline ticket to get to TTC in Thailand, my visa as well as my medical insurance! Thanks to you I’m almost there.

Teacher Training starts November 14, 2012.
I've just about reached the final amount needed for TTC. I still need support to cover the following items:
• TTC additional fee: $675
[For ground transportation to Chantaburi and costs of laundry & A/C during TTC]
“It is hot in Thailand! The A/C is a must to get a goodnight sleep during TTC.”
• Dignified clothing & shoes: $500
• Airfare & visa to Uganda: $1,670
Congo is where I will be teaching TM. However I will be going to Uganda first after the course.

On a more personal level, I have started "campaigning" for TM among my family members. My siblings and their spouses are now eager to learn TM. Did I mention that I have 20 siblings? Some of my brothers and sisters want, not only to learn TM, but also teach it!

Hi! My name is Kabuika Kamunga. I was born and raised in the Democratic Republic of Congo. As an MBA student at MUM, I learned Transcendental Meditation in 2008 and became a Sidha two months later. At MUM, I received a consciousness-based education that has helped me grow into seeing the world as my family. Having experienced these benefits, I now want to share Maharishi’s knowledge with the Congolese people.
