Right now, you can donate $5 to help feed kids right here in Fairfield, Iowa. Fairfield Community School District is purchasing a refrigerated food truck in order to continue to safely make food deliveries to families throughout the community.

The coronavirus pandemic has impacted many families' ability to supply food or purchase food for their kids for many different reasons. FFCSD has pledged to continue to support these families regardless of circumstance. Support them in that effort.

We know a lot of folks are making difficult decisions about how to send their kids back to school. There's no perfect decision right now. We are incredibly empathetic to that. But we want to remind everyone that many families in the community depend on the school district for reliable food regardless of what the school year looks. Our school district is working hard to make sure they meet the needs of everyone in our community. You can help them do that by donating so that they can purchase a refrigerated food truck in order to safely make deliveries of perishable foods.

We are so excited to announce that we are partnering with the Fairfield Community School District to bring food to families in need this summer. FCSD is purchasing a refrigerated food truck in order to safely bring food to every family who wants it.

As businesses are being required to open and are no longer allowed to receive government support, it is so important for us to offer the support we are capable of. If that means sharing links and menus to your favorite businesses in town, please do that. If that means purchasing gift certificates, please do that. If that means ordering goods for delivery or pick up, please do that. Please SUPPORT FAIRFIELD. We know we can’t do it all, but we believe we can do a little bit.

This is a great option for folks who don’t have access to internet. You can download things you need (or some TV shows), send emails, pull up to do school online, video call some loved ones, and so on!

Fairfield Public Library now offers free curbside Internet access from 8:00am to 8:00pm. To access the service, park near the building in any of the 18 north or west side parking spots. Log on with your laptop computer, tablet, or smart phone. There are two login options:

• Fairfield Pub Lib Wifi 2 use the password ilovemylibrary
• Fairfield Pub Lib Wifi use the password FPLain’tjustbooks
To maintain social distance, please remain in your vehicle and do not congregate on the benches.

Support Fairfield helps support local Fairfield businesses that have been impacted by coronavirus. While we cannot save our entire economy, we can make a big dent in the cash flow local businesses have right now. Many of these local businesses have applied for the coronavirus relief funds, but those funds are likely not going to be seen by business owners for 6 months or more. If we love our businesses and business owners, we can help support them until the government gets it together enough to provide the support they should be providing.

Tonight we passed over $5,000 raised for local businesses 🎉 We are so blown away by how Fairfield has banded together! The generosity of the community is amazing.
