Radishes for days. Let’s go! Our FIRST CSA farm share will be staring up soon with limited spots. Those who sign up not only get their weekly shares of organically grown produce, they get a glass of wine with their pickup, a farm to table dinner at the end of the season, pop up farm garden tours, and a few other fun perks. This will all go back to our non profit to continue to grow, add equipment, donate more food back to the community, add animals, and programs. We will also have an option to come by and pick up as you go from our farm garden location at Ecco Adesso Vineyards Thursday-Sunday. Message us or email if you have any questions! [email protected].

Williamsburg, VA May 30th!

The Wicked Wine Run is on May 30th, and we’re looking for volunteers to help make it an unforgettable day! With a variety of volunteer roles and different time slots available, there’s a way for everyone to get involved.

Even better? For every volunteer who signs up, $50 will be donated to our onsite nonprofit supporting those in need right here in our community.

From parking and water stations to handing out medals and wine at the finish line, volunteers help bring the event to life. Most roles are open to ages 16+, with select 21+ positions available.

Fresh organic lettuces and potatoes are coming in beautifully at our Vet First Inc. farm garden between Lexington and Staunton here in the heart of Virginia farm country. 🌱

Our veteran nonprofit farm is dedicated to growing fresh organic produce for the local community, including donations to the local food bank to help families and veterans in need. A small portion of our harvest will also be available through our weekly CSA farm share program and at our Ecco Adesso Vineyards location in Rockbridge County.

Every purchase gives back — 100% of proceeds go directly back into Vet First Inc. to help us continue growing fresh food, purchase seeds and tools, expand our gardens, and provide hands-on agricultural opportunities for veterans and the community.

Thank you for supporting local farming, sustainable agriculture, Virginia veterans, and fresh organic food grown with purpose right here between Lexington and Staunton, Virginia. 💚

A little Mother’s Day family farm action at our Rockbridge County farm location . Our CSA farm share will be kicking off soon and as well as fresh nutrient dense no spray produce will be coming in to the locks food bank .

Virginia State University-College of Agricultures Randolph Farm spans 416 acres of working farmland and hands-on learning, where agriculture meets innovation. From growing the region’s traditional crops to exploring new and emerging varieties, the farm serves as a hub for research, education, and real-world application.

It’s a place where students, farmers, and the community come together to learn about sustainable practices, horticulture, soil and nutrient management, water quality, animal agriculture, and even aquaculture. Every corner of the farm offers an opportunity to grow knowledge, cultivate new ideas, and shape the future of agriculture.

We are especially grateful to the team at Randolph Farm for sharing their time, expertise, and passion with our veterans—it means so much to be able to learn and grow alongside such an incredible group.

The peas are reaching for the sky at our veteran nonprofit garden in Rockbridge County near Lexington 🌱

At Vet First Inc., we’re proud to grow fresh, organic vegetables right here in the heart of the Shenandoah Valley—supporting veterans, families in need, and our local community through sustainable farming.

A huge thank you to our incredible veteran and farm garden manager whose dedication and hard work continue to bring this garden to life each day. And we’re so grateful for the support of the local Rockbridge master gardeners ( )for providing the means for this beautiful edible trellis—helping our crops (and mission) grow even stronger.

This work is made possible through generous donations, dedicated volunteers, and a whole lot of heart—allowing us to give back to our community, including supporting our local food bank, -with fresh, organic produce.

First Honey Harvest of the Season 🍯

Our beekeeping team at our Williamsburg farm has been busy caring for the hives and collecting honey from our hardworking bees. Over the past few months, Katie has been helping in the apiary and had the honor of pulling our first honey harvest of the year.

A sweet start to the season and a great reminder of the impact of teamwork and nature working together.
