In preparation for the severe weather that may impact our area, we are sharing an important message from Duke energy:

Our crews are preparing for severe weather; we urge you to prepare as well.
We are closely monitoring the projected track of the storm system that is likely to impact portions of Ohio and Kentucky late tonight into tomorrow morning. Our line technicians and tree crews are diligently preparing and will be ready to respond.
We are expecting to see high winds, heavy rains and flooding – which creates a greater risk for uprooted trees and downed power lines. We encourage you to prepare now.
If you experience a power outage, please report it on our website or through our mobile app. You can also text OUT to 57801 or call 800.543.5599.
Stay informed – make sure you are signed up to receive Outage Alerts and bookmark our Outage Map to stay updated on estimated restoration times.
Visit our Storm Center now for tips on ways to stay safe before, during and after severe weather hits. As with any significant storm event, it’s important to consider alternative arrangements for the elderly and those with special medical needs should outages occur.
If you experience an outage, know that we will work to restore your service as quickly and safely as possible. Please stay safe and remember to avoid any downed power lines.
