📚🔥 Make It Monday is back! 🔥📚

Leaven Kids took turns reading the S'mores story and then got to make the delicious sweet treat themselves!

There were sticky fingers, big smiles, and lots of fun as kids connected literacy with hands-on learning. These moments help bring stories to life while building a strong connection between reading, creativity, and real-world application.

Learning is always sweeter when it's shared with friends! 🍫😊

Leaven Kids was excited to join fellow nonprofits, organizations, and community groups at the Kaiser Health Fair to provide resources, build relationships, and support local families.

We are deeply grateful to Kaiser Permanente for their longstanding partnership and support through grants and sponsorships, including serving as the title sponsor for many of our events. Their commitment helps us expand our impact and continue investing in the well-being of children and families throughout our community.

The greatest successes happen when we work together. Collaboration isn't just valuable, it's essential. The impact of collaboration cannot be measured because every connection creates new opportunities for those we serve.

🎉💙 What an incredible first week back! 💙🎉

Leaven Kids is off to a great start as we begin another programming year filled with connection, learning, and fun. From welcoming back familiar faces and dedicated volunteers to meeting new friends, the week was full of opportunities to build relationships and create community.

Kids enjoyed get-to-know-you activities, games, s'mores, and so much more as they settled into a new year together. The laughter, excitement, and smiling faces reminded us why this work is so meaningful.

We are grateful for each child, volunteer, and supporter who makes Leaven Kids such a special place. Here's to a year of growth, friendship, and unforgettable memories!

Recently, students prepared and enjoyed sausage and pancakes while learning important life skills, including: ✅ Basic food preparation ✅ Kitchen safety ✅ Healthy eating habits ✅ Teamwork

Programs like Make-It Monday help address food insecurities while building confidence and independence.

"I want to be a Police Officer."

One of our students recently had the opportunity to explore that dream during a special field trip to the Fairfield Police Department Behind the Badge Tour.

Students visited: ✅ Police vehicles
✅ Administration and Records
✅ RTIC Drone Team and Operations Room
✅ Learned about careers in law enforcement

Experiences like these help children connect their dreams with real-life opportunities.

🎙️ On the Air with Leaven Kids!

Two of our students recently had an exciting opportunity to visit KUIC Radio Station and participate in a live recording experience.

The visit gave them a behind-the-scenes look at broadcasting, communication, and media careers while helping them build confidence using their voices.

We love exposing children to new opportunities and career pathways they may never have imagined.
