The go Texan BBQ competition is this week. There is an RV on hole one and they will continue to move into the park area, parts of the course will be unplayable from now until after that event this weekend. Be aware and if you play, play safe and respectful.

Tomorrow, September 10th FTX will be hosting the Big T Challenge. The trophies are in and they look incredible.

There are still open spots available to sign up, with a 3-disc challenge and divisions for juniors, novice, and competitive, anyone can participate.

You can play anytime between 9a through 3p. $35 to play.

Tomorrow is the Big T Memorial Disc Golf Mixed Doubles Charity Tournament (That's crazy long)

Included in this post is a map of the temporary design layout with basic rules, and info (can be changed up to the tournament). This will also be printed out and available at the tournie HQ.

Although there is serious cash on the line, this tournament is designed to teach disc golf to a younger generation. Rules are to be held within fair and safe discretion.

***For the Adult Competitors
Big T Memorial will be in need of judges for the meat competition, if you're interested contact Andrew Weitner for more information. You would be able to participate in both events without much problem.

Also, we are looking to get new players into the game, for seasoned players, there will be a place to do basic clinics as we send out groups of novice players. This is especially important for the younger competitors, if you'd like to impart knowledge let Andrew Weitner know as well and he'll be looking for opportunities to plug you into a 10 min moment to grow the sport.

Is your student interested in Disc Golf? Want to get them plugged straight in? That's what we are here for! Big T Memorial Cook-Off

Our goal with the Big T Memorial Mixed Doubles DG Tournament is to teach disc golf to a new generation, teach the rules, the game, and how to compete. We have 5 members that are available to teach your child the game of disc golf.

Use the messenger button for questions or if interested.

The student must be 15 years of age and under, willing to walk/hike about a mile and a half, also willing to learn and compete. For these 5 students, we will do a short clinic before we tee off and then we'll play 15 holes and compete for huge prizes.

We can arrange to play anytime between 9 am and 3 pm, Sept. 4th, parents are welcome to join us for the round or to enjoy the other festivities of the Big T Memorial.

Mixed Doubles: Adult/ Student Teams (16+/15-)
$40 a team (half will go to charity)
$1000 added cash to payout

15 hole augmented layout due to other events held for the Big T Memorial.

The Big T Memorial Disc Golf Tournament will be a mixed doubles tournament that has the opportunity to introduce disc golf to a younger generation. The teams will be a "Bring Your Own Partner" format but there will be a chance for people to sign up at the table. The cost will be $40 a team, half will go to the Big T Memorial and the other half to winner payout. It will be a flex start event so anyone can start at any time of the day while the Big T Memorial is going, we'll follow the times of the other events, but will announce an end time based on sundown. There is $1000 added cash to the payout.

The teams will be mixed doubles: Adult (16+) & Child (15-)
In order to facilitate a competitive tournament, no team can use a single-player's throw more than 2 times in a row. More clarification will be available at the sign-up table.

This weekend was a huge success, we can't express how incredible it was! Of everyone involved, we didn't hear a single negative point of criticism. Players loved the course, they loved the structure of the tournament and were all asking when we will schedule next year's FTX Open.
