Our vision is to create a partnership of at least 1000 individuals/businesses in our area willing to commit to a annual contribution of at least $100, for a total of at least $100,000. These funds will be used to fund local, non-profit organizations that directly provide programs and services to help eliminate the problem of child abuse. Our goal is to keep the overhead of our foundation extremely
low in order that nearly all funds raised will be distributed to the organizations. We also foresee this organization offering an easy commitment for individuals and businesses that would require a relatively small monetary donation and little time or effort required of them, while allowing them to contribute to a fairly large, impactful overall donation.
βAlone we can do so little; together we can do so much.β

The concept for 1000 in Action was formed in response to continuing cases of child abuse in Cascade County and the surrounding counties. It was created as a 501(c)3 organization by a group of mothers who were heartbroken over these occurrences and sought to do something to help curb, and hopefully eliminate, this problem. Recognizing there are already many valuable non-profit organizations in our area that provide programs and services related to this cause (i.e., The Dandelion Foundation, Boys and Girls Club of Cascade County, YWCA, Tobyβs House, etc.), our focus is to provide funding support for these types of organizations.
