Katie Garrison STILL encourages people even 2 years after she took her final breath.
Recently I attended an electrical continuing education class and with my water bottle on my desk. The guy next to me asked who the young lady was and I told him the story of how she fought brain cancer for 5 1/2 years. “Katie NEVER complained and ALWAYS had a pretty smile even though she had signed up for some painful procedures at Mayo to help people long after she was gone. I went on to explain what a “dandy” she was and a joy to be around by all who knew her.
He sent me a text the next day letting me know he and his wife had checked out her page and he said he could tell she was one of a kind. “That’s my Katie” is all I could say.
Continue to rest in peace Sweet Katie knowing we all continue to be encouraged by you.

Ruby Leigh in an 18 year old singer and guitar player who was 16 years old when she received a FOUR chair turn around on the Voice. She chose Reba McEntire to be her coach.
Google “Ruby Leigh the voice” and you can be amazed at her beautiful singing.
If you REALLY want your socks blown off google “Ruby Leigh sings the National Anthem” She sang it by herself A ca****la!!! And…as I say, “she nailed it!”
Ruby has been invited to sing the National Anthem again at another Kansas City Chiefs football game again in December.
Ruby was the headliner at the 4th annual Ozark Moonshine and Music Festival which was held November 1st. Both Sherry McIntosh and I are on the board of directors for the festival which is a non profit that raises money for the kids here in Van Buren County.
Ruby will perform in Branson Missouri in December for a non profit that raises money to help young people enhance their musical talent. The show costs a donation of $40.00 and there are only another 100 tickets available.

Last week Sherry and I attended the Generac recertification school. It was Sherry’s second time to recertify and my fifth.
Lisa is a sweet lady that manages the breakfast bar at the Hampton Inn in Evansville Indiana. The first time I met Lisa was right after one of Katie’s surgeries. We prayed together and she followed Katie’s page. Last year I saw Lisa again and we both admitted we were going to miss Katie’s fighting spirit. This year I saw Lisa yet again. Feels like a long lost friend. Thanks for the prayers Lisa AND the other 6,000+ followers. Rest in peace Sweet Katie. we’ll see you again one day.
