The organization is committed to supporting community empowerment through the collaborative implementation of local, sustainable, and grass-roots projects. As a nonprofit 501(c)(3), we will make use of the OFAC humanitarian license which will allow the organization to directly benefit disadvantaged communities in Cuba. Additionally, an OFAC license will permit BACCA to organize travel to Cuba for
groups of individuals who wish to participate in crucial and exciting community supported projects and collaborations. BACCA’s humanitarian assistance positively impacts the lives and prospects of Cuban people in specific communities that are especially in need of supplementary support, economic development and basic infrastructure such as potable water. The organization is especially focused on youth empowerment through education and the arts, and the preservation and perpetuation of a rich cultural heritage within the community. BACCA is currently collaborating with members of a rural community outside of the city of Pilon in the south east region of the island, to carry out a number of projects aimed to create simple but fundamental changes towards the improvement of local conditions and provide the community with the encouragement and empowerment to sustain these improvements into the future!
