September is childhood cancer awareness month. It is also the month that I normally start making blankets (cocos) for the children in the hospital that need extra comfort.
Chantilly Bible Church's youth group has kindly made enough blankets to donate. Thank you!

In lieu of making a blanket this month please consider making a donation to Band of Parents a 501 (c) 3 organization that supports the funding of new treatments to cure neuroblastoma, a horrible form of cancer that affects children.

Hello Friends. Now that Halloween is over we can concentrate on Thanksgiving!!! It is a time to thankful in our lives for our blessings. So gather some fabric and scissors and make a Coco for a deserving child in the hospital so they can be thankful for you!

Just takes 1 1/2 yards of two different fleece fabric and scissors and about an hour. Then wash in hot water and dry and keep away from any germs. I will accept blankets until second week of December.

(You can check out Youtube.com for videos of how to make a tie blanket. There is also one at the very beginning of this page.)
