Sunrise Day Camp - Greater Washington Sunrise Day Camp brings back the joys of childhood to children with cancer and their siblings.

This is accomplished through our inclusive summer day camp, year-round programs and in-hospital recreational activities, all offered free of charge.

We're so grateful to M&T Bank and the M&T Charitable Foundation for their continued generosity to Sunrise Day Camp – Greater Washington!

Their support doesn't just show up on paper. It shows up in person, too. On one of the hottest days of the summer, the M&T team brought an ice cream party straight to our campers and staff, turning a scorcher into one of the highlights of the season.

Moments like these remind us that giving isn't just about funding. It's about showing up. Thank you, M&T, for standing behind our mission and for the joy you brought to our camp community. We can't wait to see where this partnership goes next!

Buy a reusable bag at Giant Food in July to benefit Sunrise Day Camp!

We have great news! Sunrise Day Camp was selected as a nonprofit partner in the Giant Food Community Bag Program.

Sunrise Day Camp-Greater Washington will receive $1 for each $2.75 reusable Community Bag sold throughout the month of July 2026 at these designated Giant Food location(s):

44110 Ashburn Village, Ashburn

Today, we’re celebrating the incredible counselors who make Sunrise Day Camp such a special place.

Every day, our counselors bring compassion, enthusiasm, and endless energy to camp, creating a place where children with cancer and their siblings can build friendships, gain confidence, and simply enjoy being kids. Our counselors make a lasting impact on every child they meet.

Thank you to our amazing counselors for all that you do. We are so grateful for the care, dedication, and joy you bring to Sunrise each and every day.

The celebration doesn’t stop here—we’ll be celebrating our counselors on Wednesday during one of our campers’ favorite traditions: Counselor/Camper Swap Day!
