Today, SEIU Virginia 512 honors Indigenous Peoples’ Day and recognizes the history, cultures, contributions, and resilience of Indigenous peoples.

We honor the Indigenous communities who have cared for their families, communities, and lands for generations, and we stand in solidarity with those continuing to fight for dignity, justice, and a better future.

On Saturday, we hosted the second stop of our Collective Bargaining Town Hall series in Prince William County! Elected leaders, caregivers, and county workers joined together to share their stories and discuss the need for a statewide collective bargaining bill.

From rising costs to staffing shortages for critical public services, the challenges facing workers and families are deeply connected. Our speakers made clear that when workers have power on the job, communities benefit.

Thank you to everyone who showed up and made this event a success. When workers have a voice, communities grow stronger.

Loudoun County: we are in the second year of our union contract! As your Loudoun County Chapter Chair Dr. Julius Reynolds says, we are celebrating a 4.25% pay increase this year and looking forward to a 4.5% increase in our contract next year.
