Our grounds committee (who is a committee of one) mentioned the other day that the bed around this signboard needed weeding, so my daughter took ten minutes this week and went out with a trowel.
If you have an occasional ten minutes to spare, and would be in for the occasional weeding/helping mulch, please comment or message your email address - it’s a very low-commitment way to help keep our community looking good!

We are now accepting submissions for the September issue of The Herald. Share your neighborhood news, upcoming events, school or organization updates, recipes, book reviews, photos, letters to the editor, and other community stories.

Did you experience the microburst earlier this summer? We would also welcome stories or photos about the storm, the cleanup, and neighbors helping neighbors.

Our neighborhood potluck last night was a lot of fun, and I was so glad to be able to recognize some of the people who have spent years volunteering their time in KPW with certificates of appreciation. This neighborhood is special, and what makes it special is all of the people who invest their time to make it that way.
Thank you to Scout Troop 1966 for their professional s’mores making operation, and thank you to everyone who came out to spend their evening at the lake!
