Hi all - reminder of our survey! Please take a minute to fill it out if you are interested!

Right now FCTC does not have a reliable location for a fall show. So, our idea for helping to keep the theater community connected is to do some play readings together. Please answer the questions below so we could gauge the interest of our community.

As mentioned in the event for our Annual Meeting (yes, I am plugging that 😄), we are looking to do a monthly play reading for the next six months or so. As we are not in production for the Fall, due to ongoing location issues, we want to use this readings as a way to gather, reconnect, and to have a chance to read plays/musicals that people are either interested in doing or, at least, want to hear and know more about. The more people who answer the survey will help us coordinate this for the most interest. Thanks for helping out! And be sure to check out the event for the annual meeting - September 17th, online, starting at 7:30.

It is with a very sad heart that we share the news of the passing of Hal Smith. He died on July 1st.

Hal was involved with the company at least since “The King and I” as he helped his daughter Jenn with painting the backdrop and scenery. He was on stage in a number of shows. The only photos we have in our social media are from “Dragons and Sake” and “The Scarlet Pimpernel”. Hal also had much to do with the amazing scenery for Pimpernel, as well as being hilariously funny as one of the “boys”.

Hal was a special soul: bright, funny, loving, and supportive. Our “stage” will be a little less vibrant with his passing.

Congratulations to the campers at this year’s FCTC Summer Camp! Your production of “Peter Pan” was amazing! Every one of the students was fantastic. We are so proud of you and your excitement at sharing your talents with the community.

A huge thank you to Director Catie Smith, Candice Bryan-Broe, Amanda Gaudette, and Becky Nowak for your work at organizing and running the camp. And Amanda Gaudette’s adaptation of the story was wonderful.

Hard to believe this was our 5th year! Now, on to planning Summer Camp 2026!!
