Opening the Door for Talent
Career Training + Employment + Housing Most homeless want to work and return to a life of self-sufficiency.

Entryway is a nonprofit organization that provides housing and employment opportunities to the homeless by educating and engaging real estate/property management leaders and encouraging action within their communities. It is estimated that over the course of a year, 3.5 million people experience homelessness, 40 percent of whom are children. These individuals and families experience a life-altering event such as a job loss, domestic abuse, or other situations and find themselves where they never thought they would be—without a home. Unlike most perceptions, less than 30% of homeless have drug or alcohol dependency issues, or are mentally ill. Entryway provides solutions in participating communities for individuals facing homelessness by:

• Partnering with local organizations that serve the homeless, veterans, and domestic violence victims to identify successful candidates for the Entryway Program;

• Engaging property managers and real estate professionals within the community to provide housing, job opportunities, and mentoring for individuals who are looking for a “hand up” not a “hand out” on their path from homelessness to economic self-sufficiency. Entryway brings together apartment industry and real estate professionals across the country who are committed to offering opportunity and economic independence to individuals facing homelessness. Please join our efforts by serving as a Mentor, interviewing Entryway job candidates, and matching these ready-to-work individuals with opportunity.

We 🩵 our partnerships with local apartment associations, like the Upper State Apartment Association!

Courtney Kittel and USAA have been instrumental in helping Entryway South Carolina reach more participants, employers, and community members in the area. They help create free training programs to support participants that need a path to economic stability and multifamily partners that need trained talent.

Thank you to USAA and other apartment associations for being great partners to Entryway. And thank you to Courtney for contributing your leadership and expertise as a CAB Member of Entryway South Carolina.

So proud of Entryway Houston’s participant, Stacy!

After finishing her training, Stacy started working with Indus Communities as a maintenance ticket runner.

One day, when the leasing team was unavailable, Stacy was asked to step in and show an apartment. She did such an incredible job that her supervisor immediately saw her talent. Before long, she received a promotion to leasing agent, and she has continued to thrive ever since!

Manu Gupta, CEO of Indus Communities, has this to say about Stacy: “We are so proud of Stacy and how she has become a valuable member of the Indus team. She has shown all of us how we can succeed through adversity.”

We’re excited to see where Stacy goes in her multifamily career. This is just the beginning!

Another successful Entryway in-person training wrapped in September.
One participant has even been hired! 👏🏼

The Entryway Central Florida team hosted an intensive training in Tampa for aspiring maintenance technicians. Five participants graduated from the three-week Maintenance Training Program, which included industry-led technical instruction, professional development, certification opportunities, and onsite exposure to multifamily maintenance operations. Each graduate also received a toolkit from Chadwell Supply stocked with Klein Tools.

Entryway is proud to recognize the RangeWater Impact Foundation for more than $50,000 in national and local support in 2026, including a renewed $25,000 investment in our national work. 💙

RangeWater Residential’s impact can be seen across Entryway markets, where RangeWater Residential team members are giving their time, expertise and leadership to our mission.

🔧 In North Carolina, Stephen Smith led Certified Pool Operator training for 18 Entryway participants, and all 18 passed their CPO exam.

🤝 RangeWater has hosted participants in multiple markets for career-readiness training, helping them build interviewing skills and prepare for careers in the multifamily industry.

🏠 And as a national Industry Partner, RangeWater has committed to hiring Entryway participants, creating opportunities for employment and housing stability.

A new career requires preparation, and that’s what Entryway Houston provided for their leasing participants last month.

The team at Entryway Houston rolled out a week-long training to get their participants ready to start work in the industry. Participants received customized, skill-based training and hands-on experiences, including the chance to meet industry leaders and see an apartment community in-person!

As a result of this training, several participants have already received and accepted job offers!

We’re proud to announce that Entryway - Arizona has received a grant from Valley of the Sun United Way!

This $25,000 grant will go towards expanding our maintenance training program, as well as job placement and 12-month housing support for participants across Maricopa County, AZ.

Last month, our team in Entryway South Carolina hosted Job Shadow Day for our participants.

The team brought participants to local properties to meet the on-site teams and get a firsthand look at working in . After all, there’s no better way to explore a career than to experience it in action!
