Bega Kwa Bega US Directly supporting communities and grassroots organizations that care for orphans and vulnerable children in Uganda. We believe in sustainable solutions.

We provide financial, technical, and educational assistance to communities and families in Uganda. We believe orphans should maintain their sense of family and community. This means helping them strengthen relationships with extended family and enabling them to stay together in their own home. We help orphans hold on to their property rights and, when they are old enough, learn the skills and know

ledge they need to become financially self-sufficient. We believe all basic needs of a child must be addressed for that child to thrive. The challenges faced by Uganda’s orphans are complex and inter-related. A child who is sponsored for school but does not have access to clean water, or a child who has food but is still ill from lack of basic health care, cannot succeed. Education, health care, and living conditions must evolve together. Development can only happen through respectful partnerships with local communities. We help communities empower themselves and take charge of their own development. Only then can they permanently improve their standard of living. Our Programs help build strong communities and raise healthy children. These include:

• Safe Housing for Orphans
