Congressman Fine is a strong supporter of law enforcement and requested to review the American Law Enforcement Pledge — an important step in continuing conversations with lawmakers about standing with America’s police officers.

41 Fallen Heroes… And This Ribbon Tells Their Story

Every time I go to Capitol Hill, I change the ribbon I wear.
Each ribbon represents a law enforcement officer — and K9 officer — killed in the line of duty this year.

Right now, that number is 41.
Forty officers and one K9 have made the ultimate sacrifice. And while we were on the Hill, we received alerts that two more officers had been lost.

That is why this mission matters.
Every update is another family grieving.
Another department hurting.
Another End of Watch.

My hope is that one day, I can walk into those halls with nothing on that ribbon because no more officers have been lost.
Until then, we will continue to honor the fallen, tell their stories, and support those who serve.
