It is with sadness that we announce that the FYI Center is going to be temporarily closed. Be sure to watch for updates as Blue Valley Community Action reviews options for space, programming, and staffing to possibly resume services.

Produce is starting to come in at the youth garden!!! We have seen peppers and strawberries so far, we did get some tomatoes started a little late as well but they are getting tall!!

Roscoe the snake is also growing each day! We are near 200 rocks!! We will be moving him around a little this week here and there to take care of the grass and weeds around him to ensure every rock can be seen! Thank you to everyone who has participated!!!

Our Story

We're about ending generational poverty in rural Nebraska through educational opportunities and by inspiring leadership in youth. We support pro-social engagement and adolescent brain development is a key part of our program planning. There's always something fun and interesting happening at the FYI Center. You can come socialize with your friends, play Wii, burn some energy in the rec room, play a board game, or join a club! Our new CASTLE (Community After School Tween/Teen Leadership and Empowerment) Program begins October 7th and will be open Mon & Wed 3pm-6pm and Fridays 2pm-6pm.
