🌟 It's time to meet our community engagement champion at the YPC Half-Day Professional Development Summit: Katie Yarrow! 🎤
She is here to guide us on a journey of thriving together through board service and organizational connections. 🤝 Serving as a board member isn't just about titles; it's about actively participating in the rest, connect, lead mantra of community engagement.
Katie Yarrow currently serves as the Marketing and Communications Manager for IGU. She is a proud born and raised Fairbanksan with a heart for this community. She spent 4+ years growing connections in her roles at the Greater Fairbanks Chamber and currently serves on the boards of the Fairbanks Symphony Orchestra, the Golden Heart Community Foundation, and the Fairbanks Arts Association.
She was the first Alaskan fellow to attend and graduate from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s Business Leads Fellowship Program, focusing on education and workforce development. In 2024, Katie became involved with the FNSB School Board as the parent representative on the Legislative Committee and their advocacy trip to Juneau. Katie is a mother to two awesome kiddos and works to instill in them the values of community, hard work, and kindness.
