It’s time to celebrate another great season of racing at Mitchell Raceway! Join us for our 2026 End-of-Season Awards Banquet as we recognize our racers, celebrate their accomplishments, & wrap up the season together!

* 3:00 PM – Potluck Dinner
* Awards Ceremony & Elections to follow dinner

2027 GFRA BOARD ELECTIONS – NOMINATIONS NOW OPEN!

It’s that time of year again! Nominations are officially open for the Greater Fairbanks Racing Association’s 2027 Board Elections!

POSITIONS OPEN FOR ELECTION:

* President
* Secretary
* Sergeant-at-Arms
* All five (5) Board of Director positions

NOMINATIONS:
Nominations will be accepted for two weeks.

To nominate someone, simply comment on this post with:

* The name of the person you’re nominating
* The position you’re nominating them for

MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENTS:

* You must be a member in good standing to vote.
* Anyone elected to a position must be a 2027 GFRA member to take office.

ELECTION DAY DETAILS:

Voting will take place during our 2026 End-of-Season Awards Banquet!

Huge shout-out to Adam Hinds for digging a new drainage ditch yesterday!

The Mitchell Raceway has officially been put to bed today,
Gary, Jerry, Marty, Chris, April, Sam, Torres, Teri, Mickey and the gang made short work of getting everything wrapped up, equipment moved, land cleared, trash picked and ready for winter!

Stay tuned for the banquet and meeting info in the next few days.!

Attention racers and race fans. We will unfortunately NOT be having a make up day on September 5th…. I know, I know, Its not ideal, but it’s also the last holiday weekend of the summer, so go enjoy it.

In GOOD news, we are so ready for night races on the 11th and 12th!! We have so much fun to cram into those two action packed evenings, it’s going to be nothing short of an amazing time.
That being said, we wanna know if you’ll be joining us.
