Rainbow Gets Girls Ready for Life! Internationally founded in 1922 by Rev. Mark Sexson
The Grand Assembly of Alaska is a subordinate jurisdiction of the International Order of the Rainbow for Girls, a service organization designed exclusively for girls between the ages of 11-20 to promote personal growth through service to others. Of 18 assemblies, only 3 are active at this time: Fairbanks #1, Juneau #3 and Nugget #13 (Anchorage). You can find us elsewhere on the web:

I am impressed with the many adults who donate so very much of their time to our Order. I love Rainbow, and I am happy that so many of you share that love." Rounding out her year, JPGWA Diane inked her name alongside eight other Past Grand Worthy Advisors of Alaska to the song "The Impossible Dream." In her report, she said: "My Rainbow dreams have changed my life and given it meaning. This year, I have found a peace in the friendship of the Rainbow girls in Alaska..."

She spoke of her memories traveling the state: birthday parties in Cordova, swimming pool and snow in Sitka, wishing well in Fairbanks, a triple rainbow in Juneau stretching from the glacier over the mountains, a crystal rainbow in snow clouds over Petersburg, and all of us together in Kodiak.
