Alaska Interior Marksmanship Committee The Alaska Interior Marksmanship Committee (AIM-COMM) is a nonprofit based in Fairbanks, Alaska. AIM-COMM is the Alaska Interior Marksmanship Committee.

AIM-COMM is a volunteer-based, IRS 501 (c)(3) non-profit, and a partner organization of the Alaska Department of Fish and Game (ADF&G) Hunter Education Indoor Shooting Range (HEDR) in Fairbanks, Alaska. AIM-COMM's purpose is to foster the development of marksmanship, the safe and ethical use of firearms and to support and promote use of the Alaska Department of Fish & Game Hunter Education Indoor Shooting Range. AIM-COMM is affiliated with the National Rifle Association (NRA), the Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP), and the Alaska Outdoor Council (AOC). AIM-COMM is Alaska's first NRA Gold Medal Club. AIM-COMM provides many programs and events for the community including Alaska's NRA Youth Hunter Education Challenge (YHEC), AIM-COMM Bullseye Pistol Shooting Leagues, Youth Marksmanship Training, Firearms Instruction, and more.

Sagen Maddalena is one of the most decorated shooters in Nanooks r***e history - come celebrate her and her induction into the Nanook Hall of Fame next Friday from 11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. with the Class of 2026 Luncheon!

USAMU’s Maddalena, Roe Take Top Spots in 2026 National Matches Smallbore & Air R***e

CAMP PERRY, Ohio – At the 2026 National Three-Position Smallbore & Air Gun Championships, SSG Sagen Maddalena, 33, and SGT Ivan Roe, 30, of the U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit (USAMU) were each presented their Three-Position Smallbore Distinguished Badges.

It’s a high distinction in the marksmanship community and one that both worked hard to achieve, but it wasn’t the only proof of excellence the pair brought home from the annual event.

The range is closed for Walk-in Public Use Hours all AUG and SEP 1-25, for annual maintenance and cleaning. Some classes and events are scheduled to be conducted at the range on specific dates during this closure window.
We are scheduled to reopen on Saturday, September 26, at 1 p.m., for the start of the 2026-2027 Regular (Fall/Winter/Spring) Season of Walk-in Public Use Hours.
