We set a record in May. $36,333.83 paid out in local veterinary fees. No one big piece of equipment or load of supplies purchased. Just a high volume of animals needing care. Please donate if you can.

Shelter Fund boy…

ADOPTED!

Oscar (A136065) is a 3-year-old kitty who weighed 8.88 lbs at intake!

05/21/26 Oscar, previously known as Kenai, was surrendered back to the shelter because he needed urgent veterinary care. He was brought straight to the vet where he was treated for a urinary blockage. Oscar will need to be on a prescription urinary diet for life, such as Hill's C/D Multicare+Stress. His next owners should be prepared to discuss this further with their own veterinarian. Oscar has now officially been cleared for adoption! His surrendering owner loved him and only wanted what was best for him. He was described as an outgoing and friendly cat who previously did well with children, strangers, and adults. He was also said to get along well with other cats and even dogs! It is important that appropriate introductions are made if you plan on introducing him to other animals. Oscar was said to be litterbox trained and has historically used it well. He would love to find his new family to love who can continue his care! If you are interested in meeting Oscar, please let us know!
