Snow Report for October 21st, 2026! ❄️

Snow is here and here to stay, with a solid 4-6 inches on the ground. As it snows in town, the hill is predicted to recive a few more inches through the weekend - and we're excited to share that we've been busy plowing, shoveling, and completing final tasks as the season creeps even closer!

Some shots from Brush with the Board! Thank you to all of our Fairbanks Ski Coalition Board members, volunteers, and Ski Land staff who came together to help brush cut on Saturday! We're one step closer to having the hill ready for the season, and we got to see the community come together.

We're happy to share that we've gotten a solid 3 inches, with more on the way! For Saturday, were estimating temperatures planned for 17-30 degrees. If you're planning on volunteering during Brush with the Board on Saturday, October 3rd, PLEASE dress warmly with winter gloves and footwear!

Just had your last seasonal gig end? Looking for an upbeat, outdoor winter job? Ski Land is still looking for lifites to join our 2026-2027 team!

Benifits:
-Starts at $20.00 and hour
-Employee Season Pass
-Employee discounts on food and merch!
-Lift operation experience

Requirements:
-18 and up
-Able to work 6-8 hour shifts outside in various Interior Alaska winter conditions

Don't ski/snowboard? No prior lift experience? No problem! We're excited to take on and teach anyone who brings good vibes and an uplifting spirit to the team. We're looking for folks who have a eye for detail to ensure guest safety while keeping a fun environment in Interior Alaska winter conditions!

Brush with the Board is this Saturday, October 3rd! Start the month off with us at the hill, where we will be hosting brush cutting and volunteering alongside the Fairbanks Ski Coalition Board members! Take the opportunity to meet your Ski Land community while helping us get the hill ready for the season.

❓️Don't have your own equipment? No problem! We have multiple brush cutters and chainsaws for volunteers to work throughout the day. Have your own gear? Bring it with you to help us accommodate more hands! We'll have fuel and oil available.

❓️Not able to volunteer? Come up to grab a bite to eat and hang around the bonfire! Tamarack Grill will be serving burgers, snacks, drinks, and local b**r from 2pm till 8pm.
