The Fairbanks Housing & Homeless Coalition (FHHC) is a member project of the North Star Community Foundation bringing together agencies that work in partnership to stop homelessness in Fairbanks and other communities in the Interior. As a Coalition, we do the following:
- Address the goals and strategies and complete tasks outlined in our Ten Year Plan to end homelessness.
- Educate the community about homelessness through our individual agencies and as a collaborative effort of the FHHC.
- Encourage and support agencies that work with individuals in need of housing.
- Maintain information regarding resources for the homeless or near homeless and collect data on homelessness in the community.
- Advocate for legislative progress on issues relating to homelessness.
- Develop funding resources to maintain the FHHC and to support the efforts of our community, such as Project Homeless Connect events in the FNSB.
