Thanks to our amazing friends at the Emblem Club, survivors will be welcomed into their new homes with heartfelt housewarming gifts.

The Fairbanks Emblem Club donated to the Wigs and Wishes Program. Scott Allison, the owner of S Salon & Studios, is the local contact for this program that gives wigs to women and children who are cancer patients facing hair loss. Dolly Kjera, our incoming Club President, presented our donation. The Emblem Club was proud to donate to this wonderful program!

The Immaculate Conception Soup Kitchen purchased a new storage/work counter with the donation from the Emblem Club. Their old one literally fell apart! They provide a wonderful service to the community, so we are thankful we could help them out!

Because of her love for animals, Vivian planned to do something special for one of the local shelters. She purchased pet-themed fleece from Jo Ann’s when they were closing, and made 26 pet blankets for Forget-Me-Not-Rescue. She presented them to Michelle, who runs the rescue, and now some of the animals have a little something special 💜

The Fairbanks Emblem Club would like to thank our Emblem members, Elks Lodge members and community members for their support through the year to help us raise money for our community service projects and donations. A special shoutout to Lotto Alaska for their support so we could continue our support to other non-profits in the community. We had a couple other donations to the Fairbanks Drama Assoc and Great Land Sounds, that we didnt get pics. And, the Emblem Club members donated to both soup kitchens instead of doing a gift exchange at our Christmas party. It truly is a team effort, and everyone plays an important role.

Today was the day to distribute the Angel Tree gifts and gifts for the adopted families. When the sun eventually came up, the temp was -30 🥶 (no wind)! This is the first year we’ve done this Angel Tree project on our own, so we’re going to make this an annual event!

We also had tags on the tree for the Behavioral Health Center, and they were taken by Emblem and Elks members. Gifts were delivered this week for the residents.

Fairbanks Emblem Club sponsors the Senior Wish Tree - the community adopts seniors who live in assisted living facilities, buys them gifts from their lists, and we collect them, sort them, and deliver them. These are the gifts 💜
