Our General Meeting is coming up on Monday, June 1st, and we’ll be voting in next year’s PTSO Board! This is a great opportunity to help support the programs, events, and extras that make our Bobcat community so special.

From organizing beloved traditions and staff appreciation efforts, to helping fund field trips, family events, and schoolwide activities, the PTSO plays a huge role behind the scenes at OVO — and we’re always looking for more parents and caregivers to join the fun.

Open positions include:

✨ Head Grade Treasurer
✨ Director roles in a variety of areas

No special experience needed — just a love for our school and a willingness to pitch in where you can. Whether this is your first year at OVO or your last, your ideas and perspective matter!

OVO is looking a little greener these days 🌿✨

While the District does provide landscaping services, our weeds and grass tend to grow faster than the maintenance schedule can keep up with 😅 Thanks to your support, PTSO was able to snag a great deal on an electric lawnmower from Facebook Marketplace to help volunteers keep up with the landscaping between District visits.

PTSO has a Beautification budget set aside for community members with a green thumb (or just a love for our campus!) who want to help make OVO as welcoming and pretty as possible.

Teacher & Staff Appreciation Week wrapped up and wow… our Bobcat community really showed up 💙🧡

From the incredible things each class did - decorated doors, thoughtful surprises, and all the little touches that made our teachers feel seen - to the schoolwide love funded by your PTSO donations… it was a special week all around.

Because of you, we were able to:
✨ Put up a yard sign to kick things off
🌯 Treat 70 staff members to a Chipotle lunch
🎉 Make custom hats
🍪 And keep the treats coming all week long

Every single bit of this was made possible by the contributions families make to PTSO. It truly takes a village, and this week was such a fun reminder of how much we appreciate the amazing teachers and staff who pour into our kids every day.

Thank you for helping us show them just how loved they are! The perfect send off as we enter overnight fieldtrip season 🤩

Dear OVO Community,

Our school is a special place and it is largely thanks to our staff and teachers. It takes a lot of time, energy and love (outside of contract hours) to create and maintain our school mantra of ‘learning by doing’!

This year, as part of our efforts for staff appreciation week, the PTSO is hoping for our community’s help to spoil our staff with treats to stock the staff room. We have created an Amazon wish list of items that our teachers and staff can enjoy in the few minutes they might have available. Items include various grab and go snacks, drinks, hand sanitizer and markers/pens. If you are so inclined please peruse the list and make a selection. We are hoping to gather everything by April 10. Items can be dropped off in a bin in the front office or you can contact our Director of Hospitality to meet up: [email protected]

Same great tradition—Dine & Dash + Open House all in one easy evening:

Grab a variety of fun food options in the MP Room before heading out.

📚 Open House | 6:30–7:30 PM
Pop into classrooms, check out what the kids have been working on, and say hi to teachers.

🐾 The student store will also be open by the piazza!

Thank You, OVO Families! ☮️🧡🪩

What a far out night at our Peace, Love & Disco Spring Fundraiser! Our Orangevale Open community really showed up and showed out, and the whole evening was nothing short of groovy. From the creative class creations and beautifully curated baskets to the fabulous desserts, the love for our school was everywhere you looked.

A huge shoutout to our rad parent volunteers who spent countless hours planning, organizing, decorating, and bringing the whole event together. Your hard work behind the scenes made the night run so smoothly, and we are so grateful for the time and heart you put into making it all happen.

To the far-out guests who joined the party and truly put the “fun” in fundraising—thank you!

Because of this incredible community, we’re projecting to net over $19,000!!! That’s some seriously solid gold support for our school! These funds will cover our nonprofit operational costs for next year and help us continue supporting our amazing teachers, families, and students. 💙🧡

We also want to give some special thanks to the awesome folks who helped set the vibe:
