Slate Valley Cares SVC is a grassroots organization helping neighbors in the Slate Valley region of VT since 1983.

Services include a Food Center & Thrift Shop in downtown Fair Haven, VT. Mission:

Fair Haven Concerned’s (FHC) mission is to recognize and assist our neighbors in their time of need. We offer direct services as well as connecting individuals or households with agencies or organizations that can better serve their needs. We provide help to those in need regardless of their race, creed, color, sex or sexual orientation. Vision:


Our vision is to serve as our communities’ source of hope by providing services to meet the needs of our neighbors who may be struggling with food, housing, and fuel costs. Our ultimate goal is to empower our clients to become more self-sufficient and financially independent.

Ava’s Home Care Services is partnering with Hannaford’s Rutland location and holding a Food Drive to support a local Nonprofit Food Shelf; Slate Valley Cares.

Update! Tubsrus has now joined the Food Drive! If anyone else would like to join in the event, please let us know!

What:
We are accepting nonperishable food donations. If you prefer to donate money, clothing, or household items, you may contact Slate Valley Cares directly at 802-265-3666 or 49 Main St., Fair Haven, VT 05743.
