Do you love hearing the sound of your own voice? Would you give anything to have a room full of people hanging on your every word? This might be the job for you.
If you would like to contribute to your community but don’t relish running into a burning building or rescuing cats from trees, maybe you have a future as a Volunteer Bingo Caller.
No salary is offered for this position beyond an overall feeling of goodwill, the gratitude of Bingo players who “win big”, and free meals during Auxiliary-sponsored Bingo Events. The skills involved in serving as a Bingo Caller include operating the Bingo Ball Cage to dispense numbered balls, reading off letters and numbers in a clear, audible voice, and repeating yourself as necessary. Confirmation that winning cards are accurate and complete is also required.
Bingo games will be held on Wednesday evenings, beginning in May, and occasional Sundays at Factoryville Fire Company, 412 College Avenue, Factoryville.
