Loaves and Fishes Ministry

Just 20 years old, she’s already been on the street for a while. She hasn’t been to the Drop-in often, but, discharged from jail a month or so ago, she was hungry and in the neighborhood when she remembered we’d be serving lunch.

While she was here we got her in touch with her mentor from Safe Passages (ministry to at-risk youth) who made plans to connect with her on Sunday. We gave her clothes, shoes, a backpack, blanket, lunch and snacks as well as information on local sober living facilities. A couple hours later she took off on her bike, a little better clothed and fed for the day, with solid plans for this weekend. Please keep her in your prayers.

We will not be able to make our regular deliveries during the school cancellations this week and next. I will post the food delivery information for the school district. If you are unable to pick up meals for your children during this time, please private message me.

Thank you to Troy Presbyterian Church. We are truly grateful!

Check out the table full of Christmas hams! Troy members donated these hams to help fill the Christmas baskets for Loaves and Fishes food ministry at Ezel Presbyterian Church. Troy member Susan Bradish (pictured) preaches at Ezel monthly, and delivered the gifts last Sunday. Pastor Jerry Utt and chief ham inspector Ginger are on quality control patrol in the Troy kitchen! Wishing all our sisters and brothers at Ezel United Presbyterian Church a joyous and blessed Christmas! Thanks for allowing us to partner with you in your Loaves and Fishes ministry.
